Curfew

Please be advised that the Village of Dolton does honor the state law regarding curfew. The law is for children under the age of 17 to be off of the street by 10:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and on Friday and Saturday curfew is 11:30 p.m.

Loitering

Loitering is also prohibited and for the safety of all citizens the Village asks all parents to talk to your children about not hanging out on the street corners, near community businesses, and/or in front of other residents’ homes.

Basketball

Village Ordinance prohibits basketball playing in the streets or alleys throughout the Village. For those residents with the portable hoops – you must be within your own property lines – 20 feet from any public ways. You may not play basketball prior to 9 a.m. and after 9 p.m. It is always neighborly to instruct your children to be mindful of other people’s property.

Parks/Recreation

The Village of Dolton has several parks that have basketball courts available and The Village has courts free of charge on 144th & Greenwood Road.
