Meet our New Mayor

Jason M. House
– Mayor of Dolton, Illinois

Jason M. House, a proud native of Dolton, Illinois, has dedicated his life to uplifting the village he calls home. A product of Roosevelt Junior High and Thornton Township High School, Jason’s deep-rooted connection to the community inspired him to return after earning his degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2004, he planted his roots even deeper by purchasing his first home in Dolton.

With a passion for service and a proven record of leadership, Jason House made history when he was elected Mayor of Dolton, winning with an overwhelming 95% of the vote. His victory wasn’t just a milestone; it was a mandate from the people who believed in his vision for a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Dolton.

A seasoned financial executive, Jason has spent more than a decade driving economic development and fiscal responsibility within the village. His leadership extends beyond government, with years of civic involvement, including serving as Treasurer on several nonprofit boards, and holding past roles with the Dolton Chamber of Commerce, the Mentor Link Unlimited Scholarship Program, and as President of the Board of Specified Jurisdiction for Seton Academy.

 

Jason is deeply committed to the spiritual and social wellbeing of Dolton. As a devoted member of Valley Kingdom International Ministries, he leads with integrity, vision, and heart.

A self-proclaimed sports fanatic, Jason finds joy in football, baseball, bowling, and basketball, but his greatest passion remains the economic vitality, community growth, and overall wellness of the people of Dolton. Under his leadership, Dolton is not just moving forward; it’s rising together.
