Now Hiring: Working Foreman (Public Works)
The Village of Dolton is seeking a hands-on Working Foreman to lead daily field operations for Public Works. This role assigns and monitors crews, sets up safe job sites, and ensures quality work across streets, water and sewer, facilities, parks, and general maintenance—along with supporting emergency response (e.g., water-main breaks, flooding, storm cleanup).
Qualifications & How to Learn More
Ideal candidates have municipal maintenance experience, can operate equipment safely, read maps/blueprints, communicate clearly, and mentor staff. Must be able to work outdoors in varied conditions, lift 50+ lbs., and participate in on-call/overtime as needed. Dolton Police Officer:
Under general supervision, performs basic police patrol duties, traffic control and enforcement,
preliminary investigations into criminal and non-criminal activity and related functions involving
the safety and protection of life and property. The officer also promotes crime prevention,
apprehends criminals, completes written reports, enforces local ordinances, State and Federal

Director of Human Resource
The Director of Human Resources serves as the chief administrative officer for HR, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight in all facets of the department—including recruitment, classification, compensation, benefits, compliance, employee relations, training, and performance management. Ensures alignment with local ordinances, state personnel regulations, and Village-wide goals.
